Acceptable Use Policy

DRAFT for counsel review. Not yet in effect. Version 0.1, 21 October 2026.

This policy is part of the SotialMedia Terms of Service. It applies to every user, organization, agency and API client of the Service operated by DataHubz. Report abuse to support@sotialmedia.com.

1. Authorized accounts only

You may connect and publish to a social media account only if you own it or hold current, written authorization from its owner. Connecting an account that belongs to someone else without authorization, or continuing to publish after authorization is withdrawn, is prohibited and will result in immediate disconnection and suspension.

2. Customer-approved content only

The Service publishes content that your authorized users have composed and, where a workspace requires it, approved. You may not use the Service to publish content that the account owner has not approved, to publish on behalf of a client outside the scope they agreed, or to bypass an approval requirement set on a workspace.

3. No unauthorized bulk posting or spam

You may not use the Service to:

  • send the same or substantially similar content to many accounts, or repeatedly to one account, in a way that a reasonable person would consider spam;
  • operate networks of accounts to amplify content artificially, inflate engagement, or evade platform limits;
  • post at volumes or patterns that violate a destination platform's automation rules or rate limits;
  • buy, sell or exchange posting capacity, or resell access to the Service without a written agreement with DataHubz.

Quotas per organization and per connected account are enforced by the Service and are not a license to post up to the limit regardless of platform rules.

4. Prohibited content

You may not publish through the Service content that is illegal, infringes intellectual property or privacy rights, is deceptive or fraudulent, harasses or threatens people, contains malware, or violates the destination platform's content policies. You are responsible for compliance with advertising and disclosure laws, including identifying sponsored content where required.

5. Platform and data rules

You may not use the Service to scrape platforms, to collect data about accounts you do not manage, to resell or redistribute platform data, or to circumvent platform security or access controls. The Service uses only official platform APIs through authorizations granted by account owners.

6. Service integrity

You may not probe, scan or test the Service for vulnerabilities without written permission, attempt to access other organizations' data, interfere with the Service's operation, share credentials or API keys with unauthorized people, or use the Service to store or transmit malicious files. Responsible disclosure of a security issue is welcome at support@sotialmedia.com.

7. Enforcement

DataHubz may, with notice where practical: hold scheduled publications, disconnect a connected account, suspend a workspace or organization, revoke API keys, or terminate the agreement. Where an account owner or a platform reports unauthorized use, DataHubz will disconnect the account first and investigate second. Actions taken under this policy are recorded in the audit log, and the organization owner is notified with the reason and the path to restoration.

8. Abuse reporting

Account owners, platforms and members of the public can report suspected abuse to support@sotialmedia.com with the account handle, the content or post link, and the date. We acknowledge reports within 2 business days and act on substantiated reports as described in section 7. Reports from the owner of a connected account are treated as a request for immediate disconnection pending review.

9. Changes

Updates are posted at https://sotialmedia.com/legal/acceptable-use with 30 days' notice for material changes.
